Member Application

Now that you've decided to join us, you're a few steps away from getting your first character approved! First and Foremost, we require everyone to have a member application on file. If you haven't already, please register an account with your Discord alias. Note that you must use a valid, working email address for this account so that we can reach you! If you register the wrong alias and want to change it, you can always change your Display Name. No biggie!

The next step is to copy the text in the box below. If you click "select," it will highlight all the text and then all you have to do is press Ctrl+C (or ⌘+C on a Mac) to copy the text. Next, you're going to head on over to Who's Who and start a new thread. (You can also click here to go directly to starting a new thread once you've registered an account!) In the subject line, please put your alias exactly as you registered it. For example, you'll see that our Admins Storm and River both have member applications filed in this section and that the subject is their name. Then, click your mouse inside the big text box and press Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac!) to paste your application into the text box.

You need to answer every question. It might help to look at Storm or River's applications to see how they did it!

At the very beginning of your application, you'll see places that say something like [insert your alias here] or [your age here]. You're going to replace the entire thing so that it looks something like this:

Hi! My name is BWI Admin and I am Ageless. Please use They/Them pronouns when referring to me!

Notice how in this example the square brackets have been removed and the entire prompt is replaced with the important details? It reads like a sentence, and that's what we want here. This is the only time you should remove square brackets. The rest of it is BBCode and we don't want to lose that! You should always put your answer outside the closing b tag on any question, too. Hit the space bar to put a space between the [/b] and your answer to keep things legible for all people reading it (and to save Admins time fixing your coding mistakes). When you've completed the application, hit "post," check it over to make sure you got everything answered, and then take out a ticket on Discord to let us know it's ready for review!

Complete a Discipline Sheet

One last step before you can submit your member application!

Before we even start to talk about the Discipline Sheet/Tables, we need to stress how important it is that you follow instructions exactly. These instructions are repeated on the first tab of the sheet itself, so you have no excuse not to follow them. If you run into any trouble at this stage, you should take out a ticket on Discord so that we can help you if you need it. However, please understand that you are expected to be capable of doing this on your own, for your own character. We cannot do your discipline sheet for you!

Here are the basic instructions, including one additional instruction to help you get started.

• Open the Member Discipline Sheet.
  • This will open the sheet in a new tab. You will not be able to edit it. That's okay! Keep following instructions, or read them on the sheet!
• At the top left-hand corner (underneath Member Discipline Sheet) click the word file.
  • The link goes to a screenshot to show you where to click.
• When the menu drops down, select Make a Copy.
  • This will open a copy in a new tab. The copy will be called Copy of Member Discipline Sheet.
• Click the space that says "Copy of Member Discipline Sheet." Now highlight "Copy of Member" and replace it with your character's name.
  • It should now read "First Last Discipline Sheet."
• At the bottom of the page, click Discipline Sheet to open the discipline sheet.
  • You'll be able to edit your copy of the discipline sheet. Use the drop-down menus to make your selections.
• At the top right-hand side of the page, click the blue button that says "Share."
• Under "General Access," click "Restricted" and then select "Anyone with the Link."
• Click "Copy Link" and go back to your application, which you should still have open.
• Paste the link where it says PASTE YOUR LINK HERE in your application.
• Test the link to make sure that your completed discipline sheet opens when you click it.

Once you have completed this step, you may submit your application by taking out a ticket on our Discord Server. We will make sure to respond within 72 hours!
